The Listeners’ Library opened its doors to business on 1 May, 1985. It boasted 27 titles and two copies of each on its shelves!

“I always knew it was a volume business but that we had to start somewhere, so what better place than at home with no overheads?” says Kirston Hoets, founder of The Listeners’ Library.

The Listeners’ Library has its flag-ship store in Hyde Square, Sandton, and 3outlets: Pretoria, Cape Town, Johannesburg.

Rental Library
It has over 1 000 titles on its CD and Playaway catalogue, with multiple copies of each, and a membership list of over 15 000. New titles are added on a regular basis.

Besides call-in customers, we have mail-order customers in far-flung corners of the country.
